The team at Service NSW Ballina will be raising funds to support mental health charity, Beyond Blue, by hosting a sausage sizzle.
WHEN: Friday 28 April 2017
WHERE: Service NSW, 26 Boeing Avenue, Ballina NSW
TIME: 10am – 3pm
The team will be cooking up a storm outside the service centre from 10am to 3pm selling sausage sandwiches and drinks. All funds raised will go to charity Beyond Blue, who provide information and support to help people living with mental illness.
Ballina Service Centre Manager Rick Culpitt said “Service NSW Ballina is committed to putting our customers at the heart of everything we do. As a team, we believe this commitment extends to our contribution to the Northern Rivers community as a whole.”
“Rates of mental illness are a concern on the Northern Rivers, with Lifeline Northern Rivers answering 9,000 calls per year from their call centre based in Lismore.
When they are not raising funds for the community, the Ballina Service Centre team are making it easier to do business with the NSW Government, offering a one stop shop for customers to transact with government.
With access to more than 900 transactions from 40 different agencies including driver licences, vehicle registrations, Seniors Card applications, owner builder permits, competency card and Working With Children Checks, Service NSW offers customers much more than a conventional motor registry or other single agency shop front.
In addition to the Service NSW one-stop shop network, customers can also access services 24-hours seven days per week via the Service NSW website or mobile app.
Having simple everyday transactions, like licence or registration renewal available online means customers can complete them at a time and location that suits them best.
The Ballina Service Centre is located at Ballina Homemaker Centre, 26 Boeing Avenue, Ballina and opening hours are Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm.
